New Event Added!!
The robotics club will have its first competition in Loudon County on Dec. 6. Please plan on attending if you can. I have signed up 7 of the 8 teams and will try my best to see if they will open any spots to allow the eighth team in the event.
We will be in need of volunteers for the events this year. If I can get a volunteer for each team entered into a competition the registration fee for the team in that event drops from $75 to $25. I will need volunteers Dec. 6, 13 and the Jan 24 event at Marsteller. More information on how to volunteer will be coming soon.
The Fundraiser is Underway!!
Students in the robotics club were given instructions and a sample book for the fundraiser this year. We hope to eclipse the $1600 we earned last year. If there are any questions please contact me. They will be due Oct. 7.
The vex fun day at Gainesville is Oct. 11 please look for a permission slip coming home today. The event will run from 8:30 - 2:45. The opening presentation will begin at 9 so please be timely.
There will be a concession stand for food and drinks but lunches may be brought too.
Change in Frist Meeting!!
Since there is back to school night for 8th grade on Tuesday the 16th, the robotics club will only meet on Wednesday the 17th that week. The following week and beyond we will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
On another note the fundraiser books are in and we will be selling the attractions coupon book once again this year.
The Robotics Club will meet 9/16!
The robotics club will hold its first meeting Tuesday 9-16 in room 1301. Any 7th or 8th grade student interested in doing robotics this year needs to pick up an application in room 1301 and have it completed by the first meeting. We will meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays, again, this year. The club is a commitment and students need to attend regularly and follow the club guidelines.
We will begin our fundraiser at the first meeting, each club member is asked to sell at least 3 books to raise funds for the upcoming season.
